Guide
Add Custom Domain to Docs Portal
Overview
Publishing documentation under your own domain strengthens brand identity and professionalism. This workflow guides you through the technical setup required to point a GoDaddy-hosted domain to your Docs Portal. The process involves two key phases: first, you'll enter your custom domain in trybrowzer.com and receive DNS configuration details; second, you'll add those DNS records to your GoDaddy domain control panel and verify ownership via one-time password. Once complete, your documentation will be accessible at your custom domain.
Before you begin
- Active trybrowzer.com account with Docs Portal already created and accessible
- Domain registered with GoDaddy (or transferred to GoDaddy) and accessible via dcc.godaddy.com
- GoDaddy account login credentials and access to the domain control panel (dcc.godaddy.com)
- The custom domain name you wish to use (e.g., docs.example.com)
- Access to receive and enter one-time passwords for domain verification
